Brief comments about the book:
I got more out of the story after reading it the second time.
It started slow. I'd hoped for more from Sylvia. I didn't feel her character was as developed as it could have been.
The author is very descriptive, sometimes too descriptive. She said a lot of words that did not move the story along.
It took a lot of energy to read the book.
It was slow starting, however there were story ideas and the way she phrased certain words that I liked. I don't think that I would really compare it to the Great Gatsby.
